Court grants bail to AIGP Sandhu till April 12
Amritsar, Apr 5 (UNI) Additional Sessions Judge Archna Puri granted anticipatory bail till April 12 to Assistant Inspector General of Police (Intelligence) T P S Sandhu.
Mr Sandhu had applied for the anticipatory bail fearing his arrest in a corruption case likely to be registered by Vigilance Bureau Amritsar.
The counsel of the Vigilence Bureau told the court that at present no inquiry or case was pending with the bureau against Mr Sandhu.
Mr Sandhu, through his counsel Amarbir Singh Randhawa, had claimed in the application that he had interrogated former Akali ministers during his posting as SP (Vigilance) and apprehended that Akali government in power now, could seek revenge.
