Port workers invited to sign memorandum of settlement on bonus

Mumbai, Apr 3 (UNI) The Ministry of Shipping has invited the All India Port and Dock Workers Federation to sign a memorandum of settlement on the new bonus.

An official release here today said the invitation has been extended in accordance to the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between the Federations of Port and Dock Workers and the Indian Ports Association in May last year.

As per the MoU, the port and deck workers will be entitled to 20 per cent PLR (bonus) from the financial year 2002-03 to 2006-07, the release said.
