Two dist judges sworn in as Punjab and Haryana HC judges

Chandigarh, Apr 2 (UNI) Two district and Sessions Judges from Haryana, Nawab Singh and L N Mittal were today elevated as judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.

They were administered the oath of office by Chief Justice Vijender Jain at a simple ceremony this afternoon.

Prior to his elevation, Nawab Singh was registrar-general of the high court here while L N Mittal was the district and sessions judge, Gurgaon.

The high court here has sanctioned strength of 53 judges and with today's inductions, the figure of judges has reached 35.
