Honda Siel Cars India Posts All-time High Sales in FY 06-07

Mumbai, Apr 2 (UNI) Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, registered an all-time high sales of 61,327 units in the financial year 2006-07. This translates to a phenomenal growth of 43.5 per cent over the last fiscal year where the company sold a total of 42,727 units.

HSCI also closed the financial year on an upbeat note with record sales in March 2007. The company sold 8,489 units in the month- an increase of 38.7 per cent over March 2006 where it sold 6,120 units.

Honda Civic sold a total of 16,262 units in a period of nine months since its launch in India in July 2006. Honda City ZX, accounted for 40,464 units in the year. Total Accord and CR-V sales for 2006-07 stood at 2,728 and 1,873 units respectively.

Expressing delight over the company's performance, Mr Jnaneswar Sen, Sr General Manager Marketing, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd said,'' Our sales performance for the last fiscal is a testimony to the success of our customer centric business philosophy. Our sales have been witnessing a steady increase signifying the success of our models launched recently''.
