Doctor's bungalow looted, Gold, cash and revolver stolen

Surat, Apr 2 (UNI) A Doctor's bungalow in Athwalines here was looted by some unidentified persons and gold ornaments, cash and a revolver, collectively worth Rs 2.70 lakhs, were stolen from the house, Umra police said.

According to police sources, Bunglow number 14 in Jeevan Vikas Society, owned by Dr Dhirendra Singh Mahidha, was looted last night by some unidentified persons. The culprits entered the house by opening the door of the balcony and looted cash of Rs.1,00,000, 15 gold sovereigns, worth Rs.90,000, diamond stones worth Rs.70,000 and a .32 bore revolver worth Rs.10,000, police sources said.

Dr Mahidha has filed a complaint with Umra police, sources said.
