Rekha Mahajan to appear in court on April 3
Mumbai, Apr 1 (UNI) Rekha Mahajan, prime witness in her husband Pramod Mahajan's murder case, will appear in court on April three to face cross-examination.
Ms Mahajan, who had broke down during her examination-in-chief earlier, did not turn up on the last occasion as she had gone to Ambejogai, her native place, to see her 84-year-old ailing mother.
She will be cross-examined by noted criminal lawyer H H Ponda, who is representing her brother-in-law Pravin Mahajan, the accused in the case.
During her examination-in-chief deposition, Ms Mahajan had identified Pravin Mahajan as the person who had fired at Pramod Mahajan and also the gun used by Pravin for the murder.
On April 22, last year, Pravin had allegedly fired three rounds of bullets at Pramod, his elder brother and former BJP General Secretary at around 0745 hours. Mr Mahajan succumbed to his injuries on May 3 at Hinduja Hospital.
After firing, Pravin had surrendered before the Worli police along with the fire arm. Since then he is in the custody.
