Haryana to have sub-divisional judicial complexes
Chandigarh, Apr 1 (UNI) Haryana Government has decided to set up new Judicial Complexes at sub-divisional level and a sum of Rs 30 crore has been earmarked for the construction, maintenance and expansion of the Judicial Complexes in the State during the current financial year.
This was disclosed by the Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda at the inauguration of a Rs 1.35 crore new judicial complex at Pehowa by the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Mr Vijender Jain.
Mr Hooda said that a proposal worth Rs.162 crore for the expansion and maintenance of Judicial Complexes in the next 10 years have been sent to the Government of India. He said that the Haryana Cabinet, in its meeting on March 30, had sanctioned 34 posts of junior Judges, which would help in resolving long pending cases.
The Chief Minister said that out of 20 districts in the State, Judicial Complexes have already been set up in 17 districts. The foundation stone of the Judicial Complexes at Jhajjar and Panipat have been laid by the Chief Justice. A Judicial Complex would also be set up at Mewat soon.
Mr Hooda said that as may as 2947 Lok Adalats have been organised in the State till February 2007 in which 6,41,681 cases have been solved.
While speaking on the occasion, the Chief Justice appreciated the efforts being made by the Chief Minister to set up Judicial Complexes.
He said that as the Chief Minister was a lawyer, therefore, he was well aware of the problems being faced by this community and the people seeking justice in the Courts.
