Itanagar, Apr 1: The Arunachal Youth Voluntary Front (AYVF) and Papum Pare Youth Welfare Society (PPYWS) has threatened resorting to a series of bandh calls in the state from April 7 for non-fulfilment of its demand to remove PWD and Urban Development Minister Nabam Tuki.

In a joint statement here both the organisations alleged that despite repeated pleas to the state government to sack Mr Tuki for his involvement in corrupt practices and pave the way for i0mpartial CBI inquiry as ordered by the Gauhati High Court, the government failed to honour their sentiments.

The organisations have threatened to launch a statewide 12-hour bandh beginning on April seven which would be followed by a 24-hour bandh on April 17, the statement added.
