Special Police to look into scandals in Cooperative sector

Bhopal, Mar 30 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Cooperative Minister Gopal Bhargava today said the process of setting up of 'Special Police Establishment' to look into major scandals in the Cooperative Sector was in final stages.

Mr Bhargava told reporters here today that the newly-formed 'Special Police Establishment' will have a separate police station so that speedy action could be taken in matters related to the cooperative sector including submitting chargesheet in the court.

Besides deputing police officials, financial experts would appointed in the team of 'Special Police Establishment'.

Presenting of chargesheets in several cases registered with the Economic Offences Wing and police had not been possible due to the dearth of financial experts.

He claimed that most cooperative bodies, including the Apex bank, had come into profit during the BJP rule.

Mr Bhargava added that the condition of cooperative bodies in the state will improve with the Rs 2,600 crore assistance fund to be received under the Vaidyanathan Committee.
