Naxal threats to MP, MLA in Madhya Pradesh
Bhopal, Mar 30 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Ishwardas Rohani today directed Minister of State for Home Nagendra Singh to take necessary action after the matter of naxal threats being issued to the Balaghat MP Gaurishankar Bisen and MLA Pradeep Jaiswal (Congress) came up in the Assembly.
Raising the matter during the Zero Hour, Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi and Mr Jaiswal alleged that the rebels had already committed certain crimes but the Superintendent of Police (SP) was not taking action.
''Discuss the issue with Mr Jaiswal and issue a directive to the SP,'' Mr Rohani told Mr Singh.
Mr Narayan Tripathi (Samajwadi Party) demanded action against police personnel who allegedly assaulted people, including women, during a fair at Maihar in Satna district.
Meanwhile, Ms Saroj Bachchan Nayak (Janata Dal-United) wanted to raise an issue pertaining to Katni district but the Speaker did not allow her as she was speaking sans permission. As Ms Nayak continued to speak, Mr Rohani expressed displeasure over her behaviour. Ultimately, JD(U) member staged a walkout.
