Hooda extends aid to injured Hindi writer Rakesh Vats

Chandigarh, Mar 30 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda promised Rs one lakh aid to noted Hindi litterateur Rakesh Vats, who is under treatment in a private hospital in Mohali near here for about a month after being seriously injured in a road accident.

A delegation of writers had called on the Chief Minister to seek his help in the treatment of Mr Vats.

Mr Hooda, on knowing about the hospitalisation of Mr Vats, called up the hospital authorities yesterday and urged them to pay full attention to the injured Hindi scholar.

He also promised an aid of Rs 1 lakh out of Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the injured writer.

The members of the delegation included Dr Ramesh Kuntal ''Megh'', Dr Indu Bali, Dr Virender Mehndiratta and Dr Maithili Prasad Bhardwaj, accompanied by Director, Haryana Sahitya Akademi, Radhe Shyam Sharma.
