Boeing gets 75 acres of land for MRO hub in Nagpur
Nagpur, Mar 30 (UNI) Maharashtra Airports Development Company Ltd (MADC) has allotted 75 acres of land to Boeing Inc for the aviation giant's proposed maintenance, repairs and overhaul (MRO) hub in Nagpur.
MADC Vice Chairman-cum-Managing Director R C Sinha told UNI that the land would be handed over to Boeing some time next week.
Boeing's MRO hub will be part of the ambitious Multi-Modal International Air Passenger and Cargo Hub in Nagpur (MIHAN) project being implemented in the city.
Mr Sinha said Boeing had originally asked for 80 acres of land and also submitted the blueprints for the project. ''After examining the blueprints, we decided to give them 75 acres of land,'' he added.
Earlier, MADC had sought a justification from Boeing for its demand for 80 acres of land for the MRO hub and asked the company to submit detailed blueprints for the project.
