Spl measures for annual closing of Govt accounts

New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) Reserve Bank of India and branches of its Agency banks conducting government business in Delhi region will extend working hours till March 31 to facilitate receipt of taxes from the public till late.

This had been done with a view to facilitate accounting government transactions of the current fiscal and to meet the probable ruch of tax payers, a statement said today.

Special clearing, with return clearing, would be conducted in the evening/night of 30th and March 31 so that the clearing instruments received from members of public were realised and credited to government account by March 31.
