Rahul and Firdos present autumn/winter sonata at LFW
Mumbai, Mar 29 (UNI) Staying true to their love for Indian textiles and the Bhagalpuri artisans, the designer duo of Rahul Mishra and Firdos Samar presented their perfect Autumn/Winter sonata of fashionable black and white garments for men and women inspired by the game of chess.
With specially woven fabrics for the season which is a speciality of this duo, they presented a sharply tailored line of coats, dresses, skirts, trousers with a minimum of style detailing but with large doses of chic elegance.
The Chess collection revolved around black and white with just a hint of brown and navy, featuring checks and solid Bhagalpuri fabrics in houndstooth and tweed weaves.
The silhouettes were more 70s in nature with an accent on shoulders for both men's and women's wear. Womens wear started with a flared sleeve black and white top with black shorts, then moved on to a reversible shift dress with checked lining, a brown and black houndstooth pleated empire line jacket with belt, brown houndstooth bolero teamed with a princess line dress in black with flared skirt and ended with a long white double breasted belted overcoat.
Mens wear featured a jacket with parallels, a very stylish shirt with checked epaulets, shoulder, and pocket trims and ended with a long overcoat with double lapels and black trousers.
