Coal India and DVC toy with MAMC revival

Kolkata, Mar 28 (UNI) Coal India Chairman P.S.Bhattacharya and his Damodar Valley Corporation counterpart Asim Burman today met West Bengal Industry Minister Nirupam Sen to discuss the revival of the closed central PSU Mining and Allied Machinaries Corporation(MAMC).

Industry Secretary Sabyasachi Sen told reporters that the meeting with the Minister was important since the state government's support was very crucial in reviving the MAMC.

The Industry Minister advised them to officially communicate their interest to be sent to the Centre.

Mr Sen, however, expressed inability to give details of the nature of participation of the two PSUs in the revival of MAMC.
