Assault on police officer comes up in MP Assy
Bhopal, Mar 29 (UNI) The alleged assault on a police officer, during a Ramnavami procession in Khandwa district headquarters a couple of days back, came up in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today.
During Zero Hour, former Minister Govind Singh (Congress) was talking on the issue but Speaker Ishwardas Rohani said that the member was speaking sans permission and therefore his remarks would not be placed on record.
Dr Singh continued to speak for a while.
Mr Arif Aqueel (Cong) also wished to speak but Mr Rohani denied permission and began taking up listed business.
Prohibitory orders were imposed in Khandwa after the police used mild force to disperse the procession following an attempted assault on a deputy superintendent of police.
