300 tonnes Kutchi 'Kesar' mangoes to be exported to Germany

Gandhinagar, Mar 29 (UNI) About 300 tonnes of Kutchi 'Kesar' mangoes will be exported to Germany in view of growing popularity of the king of fruits there.

A State Agricultural Department statement here today said mangoes from Gujarat were gaining popularity abroad, especially in Germany.

Last year, 180 tonnes of 'Kesar' mangoes were exported to Germany.

Besides, mangoes of 'Kesar' variety, those from Junagadh are a hot favourite in the US and UK, the statement added.
