Women delegation to visit Australia from March 29

Bangalore, Mar 28 (UNI) An all women entrepreneurs delegation will be visiting the India Fair in Melbourne in Australia from March 29.

Briefing newspersons here today, Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Karnataka (AWAKE) President Sudha C Prakash said the delegation members would also visit New Zealand during their week-long trip. The delegation would comprise two delegates each from partner women organisations such as the Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs of Hyderabad and women's wing of the Federation of Karnataka Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industries. The delegation members would explore business opportunities and trade promotion for women entrepreneurs as well as explore the feasibility of export to Australia.

She said the delegation would also sign Memorandum of Understanding to forge close cooperation among women entrepreneurs in India and visiting countries, besides exploring opportunities for business relations.

Major and Medium Industries Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu, who was also present, wished the delegation success and said the Government would always help women entrepreneurs in their business ventures through subsidies.
