Woman seeks custody of her paralysed brother

Rajkot, Mar 28 (UNI) A woman has filed a plea in the local court to save her paralytic brother from his wife and children, who illegally confined him in a slum quarter and were not treating him well.

According to the complaint file in the court on Friday in which complainant Ramaben Lalani stated that her brother Dhirajlal Chavda was kept under house arrest at Jamnagar road for the past 15 years and was mentally and physically harassed by his wife Sarala and three children -- Dharmesh, Sanjay and Hiral.

The complainant further said that her brother was not provided with proper food and even he was not allowed to interact with the outside world.

Her brother's wife Sarala and three children were living at Shanti Niketan Society near the slum quarter.

Ramaben, the complainant urged the court, through her advocate Purvesh Kotecha, for her brother's immediate release.

Meanwhile, Judicial Magistrate A I Rawal has served a notice to the family members of Dhirajlal.
