NDA partner demands account of Ram temple collections from BJP
New Delhi, Mar 28 (UNI) Shiv Sena may be one of the oldest poll partners of the BJP in the NDA, but Sena's promise to seek a 'detailed account' for the money collected for constructing a grand Ram temple at Ayodhya is certain to make the BJP squirm ahead of elections to Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
The Shiv Sena may be having a sort of rivalry with the BJP in Mumbai and Brihan Mumbai and Maharashtra where it is the leading the alliance. But its differences in Delhi surfaced when it promised people of Delhi to to seek a detailed account of the funds collected in the name of building a grand temple at Ayodhya as the party came out with its 10-point manifesto in the presence of its senior MP Chandrakant Khaire.
The other promises made by Shiv Sena includes providing pucca housing structure for the NCR's lakhs of slum dwellers while promising to extradite illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and a total ban on cow slaughter.
On the coming Commonwealth Games it says instead of wasting precious wealth on games, Shiv Sena wanted it to be utilised on improving the lots for Delhites and develop irregular colonies, improving educational standards of children from the poor families and compensating people displaced by sealings and demolitions.
