Nandita Mahtani presents genre of Maharaja creations at LFW

Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) Nandita Mahtani presented her label ''Ananya'' with the Maharaja as inspiration last night at the LFW.

Nandita's label 'Ananya' kept its promise with the most tantalizing regal dresses, brocade coats, velvet minis/jumpsuits, chiffon embroidered skirts and double breasted coat dresses.

Using permanent pleating as one of the main texturing of fabrics, Nandita added on a few umbrella and box pleated creations all blazing with delicate sequins, pearl, chain, metallic and zardosi work on necklines, hems, shoulders, and the wide belts which she used to clinch the waists of her dresses.

The fabrics were strong coloured and vibrant to match the regal inspiration with white being a favourite as it opened the show with a sparkling silver mini followed by tiered dresses with ornate bodices.

For the finale ''Maharaja'' will end this ''royal'' presentation. So show anchor, director, stylist, designer, and now, model Karan Johar took to the ramp in a black velvet achkan with an impressive pearl brooch.
