Massive outcry over killing of two boys in Manipur
Senapati/Imphal, Mar 28 (UNI) Massive protests were launched today following the killing of two 10-year-old boys in Senapati district.
Don Bosco, Maram, students Hriini Hubert and Mohini Martin were missing since December 14. Skeletal remains of the boys were found last evening at Viewland Colony here, district police said.
Silent prayers were organised by women's and students' organisations here in the district. People wore black badges and staged sit-in protests against the killing.
A Core Committee was formed to enquire into the kidnapping.
The bodies had been identified by their family from their clothes, police said.
A major campaign had been launched in the state, specially in Senapati district to trace the two boys.
Police said that the skeletal remains were discovered last evening, when some children were playing at Viewland Colony.
Post-mortem would be conducted at Imphal later.
Police does not have any suspects as yet. Meanwhile the National Identity Protection Committee(NIPCO) and other organisations have strongly opposed the killings.
