HP Civil Supplies registers Rs 636 crore turnover
Shimla, Mar 28 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh State Civil Supplies Corporation has achieved a record turnover of Rs 636 crore up to February this fiscal, registering an increase of Rs 145 crore as compared to last year.
Presiding over the meeting of board of directors of the corporation here, he said in order to provide cheap rations to the people of the state from the next month, it had invited open tenders for procuring food items.
Mr Ram said the state government has provided a sum of Rs 100 crore for providing subsidised pulses, iodised salt, wheat and rice and edible oils to 14 lakh ration card holders in the state.
The state government would provide 15 kg of wheat flour, 15 kg wheat and 20 kg rice to the ration holders through its fair price shops for the next financial year, he said.
He said the government has decided to open an area office at Hamirpur that would cover Una, Bilaspur and Hamipur districts and would facilitate people of the region.
