GE Shipping takes delivery of MR product tanker

New Delhi, Mar 28: GE Shipping today said it has taken delivery of new 47,400 DWT building MR product tanker.

The product tanker, 'Jag Prakash', built at STX Shipbuilding Company Ltd, Korea is dually classed with Indian Register of Shipping [IRS] and Lloyds Register of Shipping [LRS].

With the induction of the tanker, the company's fleet of has gone up to 45 vessels comprising 34 tankers (14 crude oil carriers, 18 product carriers, and two LPG carriers) and 11 drybulk carriers (one capesize, two panamax, five handymax and three handysize) with an average age of 12.5 years aggregating 3.27 million DWT.

The company's current new building order book comprises six product tankers (two Medium Range and four LR1 Product tankers aggregating 0.38 million DWT).
