Fortis launches multi-speciality healthcare centre for women
New Delhi, Mar 28 (UNI) Fortis Healthcare Ltd, today launched 'Fortis La Femme', a multi-speciality healthcare facility for women at an investment of Rs 30 crore.
''Fortis La Femme, which means 'The Women' in French, is an endeavour to provide dedicated and enriched care to women. We initially started the project with a Rs 30 crore capex and will expand soon with time,'' said Fortis Healthcare Ltd Managing Director Shivinder Mohan Singh.
Focussing the modern cosmetic surgery procedures and the rising cancer cases among women, La Femme will also specialise in obstetrics, gynecology and neonatology for all age groups, he added.
''About 70 per cent of women suffer from cancer in the country and lots of cancer incidents go unreported, besides every woman wants to look beautiful ever, considering these La Femme is stressing on these two areas, said Mr Singh.
The centre, a 50-bed facility, is equipped with four Labor Delivery rooms (LDRs), two operation theatres for caesarean and gynecological opeartions, a level III neonatology isolation care unit, five level II facility for photo theraphy.
The prices for different specialities varies between Rs 1400 - above Rs 50,000.
Minister of State for Women and Child Development Renuka Chowdhury inaugurated the centre.
Speaking on the launch, she said ''such initiative, which is dedicated to woman will help in nuturing the country, as women are integral part of the society.'' ''My wish is to see 'La Femme' all across the country,'' she added.
The Fortis group has its operations in Delhi, Noida, Mohali, Amritsar, Faridabad, Raipur and Srinagar.
