Football game proves fatal; 5 children meet watery grave

Lucknow, Mar 28 (UNI) Five teenagers, who were playing football near a canal, drowned in deep waters in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh today.

Police here said the boy while playing the game entered the deeper side of the canal and drowned.

Their bodies have been fished out, police added.

The incident took place at Sidhauli picnic spot, located on the banks of the canal, this afternoon.

The victims have been identified as Neeraj, Prakash, Wasim, Nadeem and Junaid.
