Big B to feature in Bhojpuri film 'Gangotri'

Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan will feature in a Bhojpuri film 'Gangotri' produced by his makeup man Deepak Sawant.

'Gangotri' will be a sequel of Sawant's last film 'Ganga' which was released in October last year. This will be Bachchan's second Bhojpuri movie after 'Ganga' in which he starred with Bhojpuri superstars Manoj Tiwari, Ravi Kishen and Nagma. Hema Malini was also part of the cast.

Talking to UNI, Sawant said 'Gangotri' will go on floor from April 16. ''I am trying to rope in Mithun Chakravarty as well,'' he added.

Sawant has finalised Manoj Tiwari for the sequel while Bhoomika Chawla will play the romantic lead opposite Tiwari.

''I am keen to cast Mithunda in the role of Bhoomika's elder brother. The role has grey shades,'' he added.

Ganga is now in its 22nd week and is being screened all over the country with 30 prints, Sawant informed.

Ganga ended with Amitabh killing his son and going to jail.

'Gangotri' will begin with Amitabh serving his jail sentence.

Sawant said the script is in the process of development. Sawant had earlier produced a Marathi movie 'Akka' in which Bachchan and his wife Jaya had made a special appearance peforming Ganpati aarti.

Sawant has been Bachchan's makeup man for more than 30 years.

Bachchan has said that he would have never done a Bhojpuri film had it not been for Deepak Sawant.
