Avaya GlobalConnect demonstrates its latest Voice portal

Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) Leading providers of business communications applications, systems and services, Avaya Global Connect demonstrated the latest Avaya Voice Portal at their specially designed Customer Studio here today.

With the latest Avaya Voice Portal, business houses can leverage the power of speech to expand reach and increase productivity of customers and users, thereby offering consistent responsiveness with high quality care and customer service, said Amit Mehta, Director (Marketing) Avaya GlobalConenct Ltd.

He said the Voice Portal is designed to integrate mulitiple applications such as Clinical Trial Management System, Customer Relationship Management System, Reservation Systems primarily for Travel, Hospitals and Hotels and Finance Apllications for Banking CRM Systems.

The Voice Portal offers self service communications portfolios consisting a set of distributed software elements, Media Processing Platform (MPP) Voice Portal Management System (VPMS) and Apllication Development and Deployment environments (Dialog Designer) as a comprehensive speech and touch-tone services for self service applications, said Mehta.

Mehta pinpointed that the Voice Portal is beneficial to customers for its common architecture like data, application integration, tooling, skills, hardware, software, administration and reporting. And for the success of any Voice Portal common architecture is the key, he stressed.

Elaborating further, he said Avaya Voice Portal delivers on imperatives such as 1000 - 10,000 ports in clusters increasing its scalability, Atomatic fail over as compared to other portals dependent mainly on resilience, Central Control Distribution and Delivery and the ease to use and deploy the GUL.

Mehta said customers will receive self service at scale with automatic fail over, faster roll out of applications, centralised command and control. While airline customers will recieve ticketing, passenger information, online portal integrations and apllication hosting along with password reset applications therby transforming customer care for end customers.

Refusing to divulge the price of the new solution, he said, at present the Voice Portal can be operated after an intial 10-day training and is available on a CD as a solution and as a system to customers. While negotiations are on with Nokia and other service providers to add the Voice Portal on its N61 model, said Mehta.

With a strength of around 700 proffessionals, Avaya GlobalConnect has over 30 offcies spread across the country. The company has an extensive distribution network comprising over 50 systems integrators, channel partners and dealers.

The company has also developed a 'Customer Studio' in Mumbai to provide customers with a first hand experience of the power of intelligent communications. The Avaya India Development center located in Pune collaborates with Avaya labs in the Asia Pacific and around the world for research and development in converged solutions, Customer Relationship Management and Unified Communications Solutions and well as consulting and integration services.
