Anna Hazare to appeal to Mah Information Commissioner under RTI Act

Pune, Mar 28 (UNI) Social activist Anna Hazare today said he will make an appeal to the Maharashtra Information Commissioner against city-based education institutions for concealing the admission process.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Hazare said he had sought information under Right To Informaction (RTI) Act, 2005 to know about the admission process and seats under the management quota.

He said out of 50 educational institutions, 8 have refused to divulge any information, stating that they did not come under the purview of RTI act, 2000.

''Therefore, I shall appeal to the state information commissioner,'' Mr Hazare added.
