ABVP to observe bandh at AP varsities tomorrow
Tirupati, Mar 28 (UNI) The Akhila Bharatiya Vidayarthi Parishad (ABVP) has called for a bandh at all universities in Andhra Pradesh tomorrow demanding removal of Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalam Vice-Chancellor Veena Nobel Dass in connection with alleged forced religious conversion in the University.
Talking to UNI, ABVP state unit joint organising secretary V Raghavulu alleged that the Vice-Chancellor was encouraging religious conversion on the campus and added that evangelical activities were on the rise recently.
The bandh would be confined to universities and Post-Graduate Centres. The ongoing degree examinations would not be obstructed.
