ABG Shipyard bags order worth Rs 60 cr from a Cyprus firm

Mumbai, Mar 28 (UNI) ABG Shipyard Ltd, one of the country's largest shipyard companies, has received an order for construction of one APS 100 MT Tug, at a price of USD 13.50 million (Rs 60 crore) from Lamnalco Ltd, Cyprus.

The vessel will be delivered to Lamnalco within two years from now, a company release here today said. So far, the shipyard has delivered six vessels and another five vessels (besides the present order) are under Construction for Lamnalco Ltd, Cyprus. The order book position as on date stands at about Rs 3,455 crore.

On receiving the order, the company's spokesperson said that this order reinforces ABG's dominant position and trust that existing customers have with the company. The sustained repeat orders from Lamnalco is a clear indication that the vessels delivered by us have performed very well, thus establishing its reputation for building and delivering vessels of the best quality at competitive prices and delivery periods, he added.
