2 tigers panic people in forest area of Patur

Akola, Mar 28 (UNI) People are living in terror as two tigers in the jungle area of Patur in Akola district, devoured goats, dogs, cows in the area, eye witnesses said.

The carnivores have been spotted in Atharva hill area, nearly 30 kms from here. The tigers are reported to be couple (male and female) and residing in thick forect near the Morna Dam, the villagers said.

The last week one leopard was found dead in the same area.

The villagers alleged that wild life department is not taking proper care to protect the animals and the people, despite they have lodged a complaint.
