Sonam Dubal presents global fashion travelogue on ramp at LFW

Mumbai, Mar 27 (UNI) Sonam Dubal's collection 'Echoes of the Nomad' was presented at the Lakme Fashion Week here today.

The collection took the audience on a fashionable global journey through the beauty of Uzbekistan, rural Australia, then into peaceful Tibet, North Africa and Central Asia.

Keeping to his characteristic touches for all his garments, Sonam worked on a rich colour story of brown, rust, gold lilac, purple and burgundy then moved on to camel and earthy tones with large doses of black and gold with thread and mirrors as embellishments, on fabrics that were pure and rich as the theme.

Bringing in motifs like tulips, pomegranates and carnations for the discreet embroidery, Sonam ensured that at no time did the embellishments overpower the beauty of his silhouettes.

The coarseness of the fabrics added to the beauty and look of the lovely long floor length coats, while the slender sheer kaftans were in soft crepe de chine, bokhara sherwanis were teamed with kantha wrap pants and the chanderi dupatta when teamed with Bokhara kurta and crinkle skirt turned into eye catching pieces.
