J K government initiates probe into death of soldier in Leh
Srinagar, Mar 27 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered a probe into the death of an army jawan in police lockup at Leh.
A police spokesman said a patrolling party of police post housing colony, Leh, arrested an inebriated person idenified as Tsegring Tundup.
He was detained after a medical examination at SNM hospital.
However, yesterday morning he was found hanging from the iron grill of the lockup.
Later, it was found that he was a resident of Likir, serving in Army 3rd Infantry Division, Kharu Leh.
The additional District Magistrate has started investigation in the case, he said.
