Court defers its judgement on murder attempt case to Mar 30

Thalassery, Mar 27 (UNI) A local court today deferred to March 30 its judgement on the case relating to a murder attempt on Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader P Jayarajan MLA.

Meanwhile, the plea by one of the nine accused in the case that the case be shifted to another court from the District and Sessions Fast Track III Court was also turned down by the court.

According to prosecution, Mr Jayarajan, now MLA of Koothuparamba, was attacked by a group of BJP workers on August 25, 1999 at his residence.

UNI
