Bank of India receives ISO certification
Mumbai, Mar 27 (UNI) Bank of India's (BoI) Data Centre has been awarded the prestigious ISO 27001:2005 certificate.
The certificate was presented to M Balchandran, Chairman and Managing Director of the bank, by Arun Deshpande, who is the Executive Director of SGS India, at the bank's head office at Bandra Kurla Complex here today, in the presence of top ranking officials of the bank, a release here today said.
The certificate represents the formal recognition of the Information Security Management System of the Bank as being in conformance with the International Standard for Information Security. It covers the Data Center and Disaster Recovery site of the bank.
The certificate is a formal recognition to the management system put in place by the bank to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of customer and internal information. The Information Security Management System ensures that all information security issues are considered, accorded due priorities based on business requirements, and handled appropriately.
