Annual Credit Plan for Coimbatore touches Rs 6046.85 crore

Coimbatore, Mar 27 (UNI) Coimbatore District Collector Neeraj Mittal today said the district Annual Credit Plan was Rs 6046.85 crore, an increase of 18.79 per cent, compared to Rs 5090.25 in the previous year.

Addressing the District Consultative Committee for Banking Development Meeting for the annual credit plan here, he claimed that it was the highest outlay in Tamil Nadu.

An allocation of Rs 1608.14 crore had been made for agriculture and the allied sectors.

The Plan matches the potential-linked plan of NABARD to an extent of 102 per cent.

Canara Bank, State Bank of India and Indian Overseas Bank share the Credit Plan.
