Healthcare firm Talwalkars sets shop in Jaipur

Jaipur, Mar 26: Mumbai's fitness and healthcare company Talwalkars is eyeing a share in the Rs 2,000-crore-healthcare business in the Pink City with the seting up of its first shop in here today.

The firm is on an expansion spree with 60 more branches lined up in the next three years, Company Managing Director Madukar Talwarkar told newspersons at the launch of its first branch in Jaipur and the 41st in India.

With the increasing health consciousness among people, the healthcare industry is likely to record fast growth in the coming years.

Talwalkars who had transformed the hardcore body building into 'fitness for all' believes that ''health care is not only a business but a mission''.

Besides, the company has tied up with Pantaloons for 51 exclusive health clubs and equipments outlets in the country.

The Rs 80-crore-company is also planning to launch its exclusive outlets for women soon and aims to increaser its turnover to Rs 300 crore in the next three years, he said.

The company offers a range of services with Health club, cardio vasculat fitness, weight managment, specialised fat loss, weight gain, strenth traning, personal trainer, massage, and steam bath.

He said ''my aim is to expand the branches to 100 in the next three years and be a listed compnay by 2011'', Madhukar Talwarkar said.

Today, Talwalkars in its 75th year claim to have a customer base of over one lakh in its 40 centres.
