Patna, Mar 22 (UNI) The Bihar RJD today demanded removal of Advocate General(AG) of Bihar P K Shahi, saying he had lowered the dignity of his post by levelling unsubstantiated charges against the CBI, a premier investigating agency of the country.

Talking to reporters here, national spokesman of the RJD Shyam Rajak said Mr Shahi had crossed his limits by making a public statement on the matter pending in the court.

He said the Advocate General was supposed to advise the state government on legal matters not making statements like politicians.

It appeared that Mr Shahi was working as the agent of National Democratic Alliance(NDA) instead of discharging his duties as state Advocate General, he alleged.

Former Bihar Minister and senior RJD leader Shakeel Ahmad Khan said the Apex Court had passed stricture against Mr Shahi in a separate case and he should not have been appointed as state Advocate General.

Mr Shahi managed to grab the post due to his close proximity with some senior BJP and JD(U) leaders of the state, he claimed.

Earlier, Mr Shahi had alleged that the CBI was working under the ''external pressure'' in connection with Disproportionate Asset(DA) case against Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and his wife and former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi.
