RJD, Congress and CPM stage walk-out of the Upper House

Patna, Mar 22 (UNI) Dissatisfied with the reply of the state government on appointment of the teachers, the RJD, Congress and CPI(M) today staged a noisy walkout from the Upper House.

Replying to the special debate on the solution to the problems in appointment of teachers, Bihar Human Resources Development Minister Vrishan Patel said in the state Legislative Council that 2,36,000 teachers were being appointed and total transparency was being maintained in the appointment.

He admitted some irregularities in the appointment and stated that the anomalies were being rectified.

Leader of Opposition in the state Legislative Council Prof Ghulam Gaus said the reservation policy had been ignored in the appointment.

Later, the members of the RJD, Congress and CPI(M) created uproar in the House on the issue and staged a noisy walkout.
