New Delhi, Mar 22: Punj Lloyd Ltd (PLL), in consortium with its wholly-owned subsidiary PT Punj Lloyd Indonesia, has secured the Rs 242 crore Uran Trombay Gas Pipeline project from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.

The scope of work involves engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of 24 Km of 20 inch diameter submarine pipeline from Uran to Trombay in Maharashtra.

The project, second from ONGC to the company for installation of offshore pipelines, is expected to be completed in 15 months.

With this, the order backlog for the PLL group on consolidated basis is Rs 16,496.6 crore. This is the total value of unexecuted orders as of December 31, 2006 and new orders received till date.

''This order has been won against stiff competition from international companies and is a testimony of Punj Lloyd's capability of laying offshore pipelines,'' the company said.
