Mumbai, Mar 22 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP President Nitin Gadkari today criticised the state Budget saying that the state government was still waiting for aid from the Centre to provide to the debt ridden farmers of Vidarbha who are committing suicide.

Reacting to the Budget, Mr Gadkari said the Prime Minister's package for the farmers is yet not implemented.

He said the state has not come out with any time bound plan to reduce the debt burden on the state and neither to reduce the load shedding.

''The Budget has no meaning at all since it is inclined to handover the big projects to the big institutions under the name of privatisation,'' he added BJP National General Secretary Gopinath Munde said the Budget is not concentrating on major issues of power, unemployment and price hike while no special attention has been made towards sugarcane growers and factories even though they are facing the trouble.

Leader of the opposition in legislative council Pandurang Phundkar said the Budget is taking Maharashtra towards downfall and added that it has hardly anything to remove the plight of cotton growers.
