SS-BJP candidates elected President and VP at Aurangabad ZP

Aurangabad, Mar 21 (UNI) Rajendra Thombare (Shiv Sena) and Ashok Pawar (BJP) were today declared elected President and Vice-President of the Aurangabad Zilla Parishad today. The Shiv Sena and BJP had a pre-poll alliance for the ZP polls here.

Mr Thombre and Mr Pawar both have secured 33 votes against their rivals Mr Bharat Rajput (Cong) and Mr Vinod Patil (NCP) by securing 27 votes each.

The Shiv Sena is the single largest party in the Aurangabad ZP having 24 members followed by BJP 8, Cong 15, NCP 12 and Independents.
