Economy shows signs of over heating as capacites fully utilised

Jaipur, Mar 21 (UNI) Well- known economist and chairman of the economic advisory council to the Prime Minister C Rangarajan is of the opinion that the recent inflationary trend in the economy is signs of over heating of the economy due to high growth rate as the capacities have been fully utilised.

Mr Rangarajan, who was here to attend a seminar, while talking to UNI called for acceleration in capacity building to sustain the high growth and reign in inflation.

He said there was the need for more focus on agriculture in quality upgradation and productivity. He said the industry and service sector must be able to absorb the people from rural areas in the long run.
