Cong releases list of 135 candidates for UP polls

New Delhi, Mar 20 (UNI) The Congress tonight released the names of its 135 candidates for the Uttar Pradesh elections to be held in seven-phases from April 7.

According to an AICC release here, the party has fielded Amita Singh from Amethi, Mr Piyush Ranjan Yadav from Gunnaur, Fakir Ahmed Sobi from Badayu, Jagdambika Pal from Basti and Ms Louise Khursheed from Kayamganj.

Earlier, the party completed its list of 62 candidates for as many seats going to polls in the first phase.
