BJP SC Cell alleges conversion of 56 Hindu families

Shimla, Mar 21 (UNI) Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe cell of the Himachal Pradesh BJP today alleged of 56 Hindu families to Christianity under allurement and announced that they would soon be brought back to their original religion.

In a release issued here, the State President of the BJP SC and ST cell, Tarsim Bharati alleged that it was a second incident of conversion despite the fact that the state had recently enacted the anti-conversion law.

Alleging that the conversion was done by allurement, the Cell claimed that with its efforts, now all of them were willing to re-convert to the Hindu religion.

The reconveretd families will be provided security and a formal function will soon be organised to re-convert them into Hindu fold, he said.

Mr Bharati said a memorandum regarding the incident had also been submitted to Deputy Commissioner of Sirmour, Rajinder Singh Negi at Nahan yesterday.

He also warned that the BJP will not tolerate such incidents in the future.
