Alleged sandalwood smuggler succumbs to gun shots

Mysore, Mar 21 (UNI) An alleged sandalwood smuggler, who was shot at in a police firing recently, breathed his last at the K R Hospital here last night.

Police said one Ravi, along with his accomplices, had been found cutting a sandalwood tree on the premises of the Postal Training Institute in the city. Police had opened fire as the gang tried to attack them with lethal weapons.

In the firing, Ravi was injured and admitted to the hospital.
