SMART launches 2nd annual World Teachers' Day video contest
Hyderabad, Mar 20 (UNI) SMART Technologies today announced that it was now accepting entries for Smart's second annual World Teachers' Day (WTD) video contest.
Teachers across the globe were invited to submit videos that demonstrate how Smart Board interactive whiteboards were improving student learning outcomes, according to release here.
About 75 winners, selected from five global regions, would win iPod shuffles. The top regional winners would each receive SMART Board interactive white-board, and the overall winner would receive the grand prize, an all-inclusive trip to London, England, for BETT 2008, a leading education technology tradeshow.
WTD aims to raise awareness of and appreciation for the vital contributions that teachers make to education. Started by UNESCO to recognise teachers' contributions around the globe, WTD was celebrated on October 5 in over 100 countries.
The goal of Smart World Teachers' Day Video Contest was to showcase teachers' efforts to improve student learning outcomes and engagement.
