Jaipur, Mar 20 (UNI) Art of Living founder and spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar today blamed the rise in naxalism in the country on the lack of spiritual education in schools.

Emphasising the need for moral education, Ravi Shankar said here the Naxals are mostly Hindus and they are this way mainly due to lack of religious education at the primary level.

Adding that Christians and Muslims go to convents and madrasas where they are taught the basics of religion, he said education helps them to stick to religious tenets and not turn into rebels.

Speaking on reservation, Ravi Shankar said only financially weaker sections should be given the benefit of reservation.

Urging all to shun casteism, he said their seven point plan would work for bringing harmony among Dalits and Upper castes and also work against female foeticide in Rajasthan.
