MeSEB to be corporatise in Meghalaya
Shillong, Mar 20 (UNI) Efforts are on to corporatise the Meghalaya State Electricity Board (MeSEB) to avoid any further extension of time, state's Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Power Dr Mukul M.
Sangma today informed the Assembly.
Replying to queries during the Question Hour, Dr Sangma said the state government had sought extension of time till June.
He said the delay for implementing the Electricity Act 2003 was due to various constraints faced by the MeSEB.
The Power Minister said the corporatisation of MeSEB will ensure that all stake holders are protected and it will be benefit the consumers of the state.
